Enjoy a rural rolling pedal often in view of the Shawangunk Mountains. The sights along the way in order of appearance are WhitecliffVineyards and Winery, Shawangunk Grasslands National Wildlife Refuge, Blue Chip Horse Farm and the historic Shawangunk Reformed Church.
START: Freed's home, 4 Stokes Ln., Gardiner; from intersection of Rt.44/55 and 208, go west 4 miles through the village of Gardiner and across the bridge to traffic light at 44/55 and Albany Post Rd. Turn left, south. Go 1.1 mi. on Albany Post Rd. to Stokes Ln. (0.1 mi. south of McKinstry Rd.) Turn right onto Stokes at the schoolbus shelter.
