Starting place: Arlington Middle School, DutchessTurnpike, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 (Meet by the tennis courts off Evelyn Way) Have the Dog Days ofAugust gotten you down? Do you "need a little Christmas? Right this very minute?" Well, I can't promise you "candles in the window and carols on the spinet" like the old show tune says, but I can present a ride that goes past two (yes, TWO!) Christmas tree farms. Take the edge of summer's heat off (psychologically at least) by pedaling past stretches of dark green, cool evergreens. You'll be whistling "Jingle Bells" before you know it.
